Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Donuts (Printable View)

Golden air-fried donuts coated in cinnamon sugar, made from biscuit dough in just 18 minutes.

# Ingredient List:

→ Dough

01 - 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)

→ Coating

02 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

# How to Make:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
02 - Remove biscuits from the can and cut out the center of each biscuit using a small round cutter or bottle cap to create donut shapes; set aside the centers for donut holes if desired.
03 - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
04 - Place the donut shapes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch. Cook in batches if necessary.
05 - Air fry the donuts for 5 to 6 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and puffed.
06 - While the donuts cook, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
07 - Brush each donut with melted butter immediately after frying, then toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
08 - Repeat the cooking and coating process with the reserved centers for donut holes, reducing the air frying time to 3 to 4 minutes.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You can have hot donuts in under 20 minutes without making dough from scratch or dealing with hot oil splatters everywhere
  • The texture is surprisingly light and fluffy, almost like bakery donuts but with way less effort and guilt
02 -
  • Work quickly when coating the donuts because the cinnamon sugar only sticks while the butter is still melted
  • Do not crowd the air fryer basket or the donuts will steam instead of getting that golden exterior
03 -
  • A 2 inch bottle cap works perfectly for cutting out the centers if you do not have round cutters
  • Brush the butter on both sides of each donut for maximum cinnamon sugar coverage
